FRIED POTATOES AND ONIONS

French fries and southern onions are an easy-to-pan side dish.  Just a few ingredients that taste great!

 

When looking for something as simple as a side dish, potatoes and onions always seem to work for me. This one is a 1-skillet for tender and delicious golden brown potatoes. This is not an ordinary first potato side dish. not at all! These potatoes are kicked to the top and fluffy.

I eat potatoes, and I probably eat more than my fair portion of potatoes. So I always try to devise a new way to prepare them. Is this method new? Nope, I’ve been making this dish for years, and it hasn’t yet let me down.

 

There is just something in my french fries and onions that makes me happy.

 

Fry these potatoes and onions in a little oil, steamed, and then fry until golden brown. Yes, potatoes are steamed in the same skillet. Just add a cap, and you’re all set.

 

* What ingredients do I need ?

 

° 2 Potatoes, peeled and diced 1 14

° 1 onion, cut into small cubes

° 1/2 cup oil (maybe less)

° Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste

 

* How do I make a potato frying pan ?

 

Is there a secret to frying potatoes? No. It is really very simple and one of the easiest side dishes to prepare.

 

Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes and a half. Chop the onion into small cubes.

 

Utilize a 10-inch skillet, adding enough oil to covering bottom. Heat the oil over medium heat. French Fries And Diced Onion – Season With Salt, Pepper And Garlic Powder. flip over. Covering & cooking for 10 min  without stirring. Turn the potatoes and turn them over. Continue to cook uncovered for another 10-15 minutes, or until you reach desired softness and have browned the potatoes.

 

Tip ** Do not stir potatoes too much. Stir the potatoes, then leave them for 4-5 minutes. Stir again. This allows the potatoes time to fry and fry in oil.

 

 

How do I know if a potato is cooked ?

The potatoes should be crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. If you are not sure to look at them, put a fork in them. If it’s a tender fork – they’re done.

 

What fryer do I use ?

My favorite skillet is the cast iron skillet. Yes, I use it all the time! It’s well seasoned, and I’ve been using it for about 30 years. Lots of dinners, desserts, and sides were prepared in the skillet. But, if you don’t have one now, don’t worry! Just use your favorite skillet with a suitable lid. They’d still be cool!

 

This is! Seriously, I told you they are easy to prepare.
